Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) Closes | Print |  E-mail

The Strategic Leadership Development Programme Number 22 which kicked off on 28 September 2009 came to a successful end on Friday 5 November 2009. Forty (40) participants, drawn from various ministries andĀ  parastatals graduated in a colourful ceremony graced by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture Dr. Romano Kiome.

The participants were top senior government Officers, serving in various capacities. In his speech, he challenged the graduates to move Kenya to the next level, by building structures and people they work with. He added that leadership is about understanding the world we are living in. Leaders have the yearning to embrace learning and new skills, he said.

The Strategic Leadership Development Programme challenges participants to think strategically about the operations in their organizations and to make a successful transition from being managers to being leaders.
