RESPONSIBLE TO:     DEPUTY DIRECTOR, BD

JOB PURPOSE
To enhance the Institute’s capacity to carry out quality Training, Research and Consultancy Services aimed at improving public service performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.    To provide leadership in teaching, research and related consultancy
2.     Designs and coordinates modules in law & policy analysis, strategic Planning & management
3.    Delivers lectures in law & Policy Analysis, Strategic Planning & management
4.    Provide advisory services on issues related to law & policy analysis
5.    Prepare training materials for courses delivered such as training manuals, course notes, audio visual aids among others.
6.    Initiates and co-ordinates, collaborative research and consultancy
7.    Provide the necessary liaison between the Institute and the clients.
8.    Carry out any other assignments as may be assigned from time to time

COMPETENCIES SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Be able to demonstrate:

•    Possession of LLB degree is essential
•    At least 5-7years experience in training is essential
•    Possession of LLM is an added advantage
•    Possession of training of trainers certificate
•    Excellent inter personal and communication skills
•    Must be a team player
•    In depth knowledge of and insight into national development priorities, and functions and practices of government will be an added advantage.
