PreambleThe terms “Cyber Crime”, “Computer Crime”, “Electronic Crime (E-Crime)”, “IT Crime” and “High-Tech Crime” are at times used inter-changeably. It is the application of technology to facilitate the commission of crime. Criminals, realize the opportunities availed by technology and exploit the same to commit both the traditional and computer related crimes, thus, offering new challenges to law enforcers in their investigative responsibilities. Target Group Police Officers, Hotel and Banks Security Managers, Auditors, Training Institutions Learning Objectives: On completion, the participants should be able to: - Identify the nature of the alleged crime, know the law relating to the crime, know the evidence required to establish the facts and support a prosecution, and know the powers available to the investigator.
