Preamble

Gemba Kaizen is a Japanese concept. In a corporate or industrial setting “gemba” is the place where
products or services are formed. ‘Kaizen” means improvement. To remain competitive, organizations have
to continuously improve their operations.

Target Group

The workshop targets all Permanent Secretaries, their deputies and equivalents in the public service, all
senior and middle level managers in the public service.

On completion, participants should be able to:

  • Develop an action plan for continuous performance improvement in their organisations
